If your internet feels slow—especially in a large house—you’re not alone. One of the easiest solutions is using a WiFi extender. The Macard WiFi Extender is a great option to boost and expand your home network.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through three simple ways to set up your Macard WiFi Extender and get better internet coverage at home.
This is the easiest and fastest way to connect the extender to your router—no cables needed!
Here’s what to do:
Place the Macard extender close to your router.
Plug it into a power outlet.
Make sure your router is also turned on.
Press the WPS button on your router.
Within a few seconds, press the WPS button on the extender.
The LED light on the extender will blink.
Once it stays solid, your extender is successfully connected!
Note: This method copies your router’s settings automatically. If you want to customize things, you can still access the extender’s web settings.
If you prefer a more stable setup, you can use an Ethernet cable to connect the extender.
Steps:
Place the extender between the router and the area with weak WiFi.
Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to your router’s LAN port.
Plug the other end into the Macard extender.
Turn on the extender.
You’ll need to log into the extender’s web interface to finish the setup (details below in Method 3).
If WPS isn’t an option or you want more control, go with this method.
Here’s how:
Plug the extender into a socket in the low-signal area.
Connect a device (like a phone or laptop) to the extender’s network using WiFi or an Ethernet cable.
Open a browser and go to go.macard.online or type 192.168.10.1.
You’ll see a login page—use the default username and password (check the label on your extender).
Once logged in, pick your existing WiFi network from the list and enter the password.
Click Connect. After a few seconds, you’re all set!
You can now adjust the extender’s settings through the web interface.
Tip: If the WPS or Ethernet method doesn’t work, go with the manual setup.
Hopefully, this guide helped you set up your Macard WiFi Extender without any hassle. Whether you chose the quick WPS method or the manual setup, you should now have better internet in every corner of your home.
Q: Can I use the Macard extender with any router?
Yes! The extender works with routers from any brand. If your router supports WPS, use that method. If not, go with the manual setup.
Q: How do I reset the Macard WiFi extender?
Press and hold the reset button (usually on the back of the extender) for 10–15 seconds. After it resets, follow one of the setup methods again.
Q: Why isn’t my Macard extender connecting?
Double-check that you’re using the correct WiFi name (SSID) and password. If issues continue, try resetting the extender and go through the setup process again using this guide.
