Krystian Jaroszynski has joined Scandinavian esports organisation HEROIC as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
The esports veteran previously worked at Tencent-owned game publisher Level Infinite as its Senior Esports Manager for the MENA Publishing division.
Equipped with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Jaroszynski has worked in tech and esports for nearly 17 years. Starting as a Technical Support Engineer for AMD in 2007, Jaroszynski’s career journey includes employers such as HyperX and Kingston Technology Europe.
In 2014, Jaroszynski transitioned to his first esports company – esports event organiser PGL. As Director of Sales and Marketing, he helped produce a 1v1 CS:GO tournament and a VR competition with tech corporation HTC.
Prior to his time at Level Infinite, Jaroszynski spent over five years with G2 Esports as the esports organisation’s Head of Business Development and later Head of Partnerships.
The former Esports Manager replaces Işıkcan Aysev – who joined Team Liquid in January – as CCO of HEROIC. In his announcement on LinkedIn, Jaroszynski shared that several HEROIC partners would be announced soon and that the commercial team was looking for two immediate hires.
Scandinavian esports organisation HEROIC was founded in 2013 and now features rosters in Counter-Strike, Fortnite, Dota 2, and sim racing. 2023 was a turbulent year for HEROIC as the company struggled financially. However, a NOK 10m (~£781,000) investment largely from existing shareholders, as well as a cash offer from Krow Bidco AS, kept HEROIC afloat.
Most recently, HEROIC decided to leave the Louvre Agreement with ESL, which allows organisations to become partner teams of the ESL Pro League.
In his LinkedIn statement, Jaroszynski comments on his future with HEROIC: “I will be part of building the next esports and entertainment powerhouse in gaming, to be known for years to come, as the funniest, wildest, most exciting and entertaining brand in the space!”
